Couples Therapy Frequently asked questions.

Do you accept insurance?

No- I am an out of network provider.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes! I am located in Santa Barbara, California. I have a home office in The Mesa. I also see clients located in others parts of California through Zoom.

Who do you work with?

I work with couples who want to improve their communication, strengthen the connection in their relationship and gain better understanding of themselves and their partner. I work with couples seeking therapy proactively and are earlier on in your relationship or have been together for 30 years.

What is the fee and how long are sessions?

Sessions for couples are 60 minutes and $220.

What should I expect?

In the first session, I will be gathering the history of your relationship, the strengths and the areas of improvement. Afterwards, I schedule an individual session with each partner to better understand each individual and their life history, which will be influencing how we show up in our relationship. From there, we will begin to work on foundational communication skills and the areas of your relationship that need a little extra TLC.

What strategies do you use for your sessions?

I completed The Gottman Method Level one and two training. I find that it brings tangible, practical skills for couples to use. It can address communication, conflict, trust, intimacy, friendship, and supporting the dreams of each partner. I also pull from dialectal behavior therapy (DBT) for skills when emotions are big or client’s are feeling overwhelmed during conversations.

How do I get started?

Either fill out the contact form or text me at (323) 776-1892. We will set up a free consultation call to get to know each other better. If we decide to work together then you’ll receive online paperwork to fill out prior to your first session.
